The new call of duty has been officially announced, and its name and estimated release date have been identified.
The estimated release date from Infinity ward is autumn 2009. Popular gaming retailer play.com has an exact release date of (13/11/2009),
However this is subject to change.

Infinity ward have confirmed the name of the new call of duty release as: Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2.

Infinity ward have also said that the Modern Warfare 2 release will not be the sequel game which has been rumoured, but in fact will be a follow on from call of duty modern warfare. This will be a great relief to the majority of the Call of duty fans.
